Thursdays 2:00-4:300pm. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 at the Art studio at 922 Mesquite. $58.00 for all five sessions in October.

Based on the principles set out in the book, Life, Paint,and Passion by Cassou and Cubley.

Open to all .................even if you have never painted anything in your life.

The focus is on free-expression rather than technique or expertise.

The environment, materials, methods, and support are provided for you to embark on your own exploration of your path.

Artistic/ creative

Freedom to create without pressure to perform, produce or succeed.

Healing/therapeutic

Safety to express blocks visually and to accept imperfection wholeheartedly. Great for relieving stress.

Meditative/spiritual

A special time and place to be in the present moment and to learn to stay with whatever arises on the paper.

Tools will be painting, collage, easy movement, writing, and visualizing.

10 HOURS CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT AVAILABLE FOR COUNSELORS AND SOCIAL WORKERS, NURSES, AND MASSAGE THERAPISTS. You need not be a helping professional to attend.
COST: $150.00

Facilitated by Pat Walke, LISW, who has many years of experience as a psychotherapist, workshop facilitator, artist, and gardener. This outer world we live in is a turbulent place, full of great distress which affects us either directly or indirectly. How can we make a place of solace, refuge, and even growth in these times? This workshop is about finding that place within where we nurture and strengthen ourselves so that we can offer the same to others.
